Surrey Young Carers

Surrey Young Carers provides active support to young people under 18 who provide regular and on-going care and emotional support to a family member who is physically or mentally ill or disabled. Their annual trip to enjoy a pantomime was again supported by GOLO, this time to see Snow White at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre.

Every Christmas The Cellar provides Christmas hampers for local disadvantaged and vulnerable people. GOLO was delighted to support the scheme again in December 2014. Pictured (centre back) is The Cellar's trustee Chris Jagger with GOLO volunteers and Godalming Mayor Cllr Andrew Wilson.





BRIDGES Youth Mentoring Project
GOLO grant for BRIDGES Youth Mentoring project 2014

GOLO provided a grant (November 2014) to The BRIDGES Youth Mentoring Project working with young people to
empower them to take life responsibilities and avoid community conflict. The grant was to help the young people on the project with their travel and communication costs during mentoring. Pictured at centre is BRIDGES' Liz Martin with GOLO volunteers
Godalming Town Ladies Football Club
The Godalming Lottery helped fund a defribulator in the town July 2014

The dynamic Godalming Town Ladies FC have won three promotions in three years. The G's were challenged by Malta's national team to play in the national stadium and GOLO was delighted to contribute (July 2014) towards their travel costs.
