The Chandler CofE Junior School in Witley places a strong focus on outdoor learning, and as part of their tansformation of the school grounds GOLO contributed (October 2012) to the cost of a Buddy Bench. The bench was handcrafted by pupils under the guidance of a local sculptor. Pictured with GOLO volunteers are some of the children carvers and head teacher Tim Burgess.

GOLO was invited (July 2012) to help Rodborough with their exciting new initiative giving pupils the chance to learn traditional skills inspired by the local Arts and Crafts Movement. GOLO funds are being used for the materials needed for pupils to design and handcraft a bench to be installed in the school garden. Pictured with GOLO volunteers and pupils are headteacher Andrew Smith, Gillian Ellis (4th left back) and sculptor Ruth Wheeler (front centre).
